Shani Davis has successfully repeated the feat of the Olympics in Turin in 2006, winning the gold medal in the 1,000 meter race in speedskating at Vancouver 2010.
He also won silver in the 1 500 meter category

There was magic in the air at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City - 11 December 2009.
Indeed, Shani Davis has skated a new WORLD RECORD 1500m: 1.41,04!
Aged 27 years, Davis eightfold world champion, improved to 76/100 the previous record (1:41.80) that he was established March 7 on this same ice.
The American has also since March the world record in the 1,000 m. He was crowned Olympic champion in 2006 on this last distance.
