Sorting systems

Our experience allows us to select the appropriate sortation technologies based on characteristics of your line of business because the machines' environment has a key place in the success of an automated system.
Actemium can carry out an in-depth analysis of your warehouse in order to optimize its performance.

The most commonly used technologies are:

•    Push diverter
•    Pop-up sorter
•    Shoe sorter
•    Split tray sorter
•    Tilt tray sorter
•    Cross belt sorter

Your requirements:
Multiple induction lines converging into a single flow before arriving at the sorter.

  • All products must then be identified so that the sorter's control system can deliver them accurately.
  • Once they are sorted, a conveyor transports the products to a palletisation station, for example.

It is precisely this talent for integrating all these functions that is one of Actemium primary areas of strength.

Our solutions:

  • Induction function: Your product must arrive at the sorter with the correct speed and orientation.

  •  Merge function: Generally, products arrive from multiple induction stations or incoming conveyors (different unloading docks). These multiple flows merge into one.
  • Identification function: Products must be identified before they are sent to the sorter. The identification can be done manually (reading bar codes with a triggerless bar code scanner) on each incoming conveyor. This operation can also be automated using a multidirectional scanner covering 1 to 6 sides. We can also measure product weight and volume in order to add detail to your invoices

  • Sorting function: When the products arrive at the sorter, following error-free induction, merge and identification, each product will be delivered to the correct discharge point.

  • Discharge function: Once the products have been sorted and delivered to the correct discharge points, there remain the challenges of handling and shipping. Should they go onto a lorry, a pallet or into containers? Are they handled manually or with the assistance of one or more robots?
  • Control system management functions: Actemium can provide a wide range of sortation solutions, developed in-house together with our partners.
