Production line extension delivered on time for Arkema Bostik despite the Covid-19 health crisis

To store new powder raw materials and diversify its production, Arkema-Bostik commissioned an extension of its existing production line close to Paris, France. This extension enables storage, extraction and transfer of those raw materials towards existing dosing systems. Actemium Saint-Etienne Process Solutions designed, installed and commissioned all equipment as well as the new automation system.

Arkema-Bostik has extended the existing unit, already designed and equipped by the Actemium teams. They needed the addition of new equipment in order to store new materials and to diversify their products (tile glue, cement, coatings, etc.). The new silos allow the storage of new raw materials (powders). The extraction, transfer and convey system process the flow of those materials towards dosing systems and is controlled by Actemium’s automation system.
Thanks to the power of the network, Actemium Senlis lent a hand and carried out the suspended cabling operations. After three weeks, despite heavy restrictions due to the health crisis, the silos and all equipment were delivered and installed as planned. The production unit can now increase its loading capacity and produce new references thanks to this extension.
