Modernizing the Djeno Oil Terminal for a Cleaner and Safer Process
Actemium Congo is supporting TotalEnergies in a major modernization project at the Djeno oil terminal, a strategic asset that represents 97% of the Republic of the Congo’s national oil production.
A Strategic Energy Transition Project
The objective of this large-scale project is to convert the furnaces’ energy supply from crude oil to gas, contributing to improved operational efficiency and a cleaner industrial process.
This transition plays a key role in reducing environmental impact while ensuring the continuity and reliability of operations at one of the country’s most critical energy infrastructures.
A Turnkey Solution Driven by Multidisciplinary Expertise
Delivered as a full turnkey project, the modernization of the Djeno terminal mobilizes all of Actemium’s core expertise:
-
Engineering and design
-
Procurement
-

-
Automation and control systems
-
Electrical and instrumentation
A total of 1,500 signals have been integrated to control equipment, regulate furnace operations, and ensure the highest safety standards for both installations and personnel.
This advanced automation architecture enables precise process control while reinforcing operational reliability.
Performance, Safety, and Collective Commitment
The project represents 300,000 work hours completed without a single accident, reflecting Actemium’s strong safety culture and the daily commitment of its teams.
In total, 150 employees across Europe and Africa are contributing to the project’s success, working collaboratively to meet TotalEnergies’ expectations.
By the end of 2025, the project will deliver measurable benefits in terms of operational performance, energy efficiency, and process cleanliness, supporting TotalEnergies’ long-term industrial and environmental objectives.
