When ships are docked, their auxiliary diesel engines continue to run—emitting CO₂, nitrogen oxides, noise and vibrations that affect nearby communities and ecosystems. Onshore Power Supply (OPS) enables vessels to connect to the local grid and switch off onboard engines, improving air quality and reducing environmental and noise pollution.
OPS is endorsed by the World Port Climate Initiative and required under upcoming EU regulations such as AFIR and FuelEU Maritime (effective from 2030).

A Full In-House OPS Expertise
Actemium is the only provider to fully manage the entire Onshore Power Supply system — from design to commissioning. We develop and manufacture our own customized Cable Management System (CMS) to ensure optimal performance and integration.
As a manufacturer-independent integrator, Actemium adapts each system to your operational and spatial constraints, with fixed or mobile setup. Three CMS options are available:
- Cruise CMS: heavy-duty, mobile unit with articulated crane for large vessels
- Ferry CMS: compact, agile, designed for frequent docking
- Container CMS: linear chain-on-track system along the quayEach CMS is custom-engineered to ensure ergonomic operation, fast connection and minimal visual impact.
